What’s on my mind this week…
⛰️ We checked off a bucket list item last week and visited the incredible Grand Canyon at last. It was breathtaking. We then spent the week in Sedona and enjoyed exploring the spectacular landscape.
📺 Once the kids were in bed on vacation we watched the TV adaptation of All the Light We Cannot See and really appreciated the casting decisions. (although I do find it weird that the French characters all had English accents.)
📖 After finishing Iron Flame,* I read two novellas: This is How you Lose the Time War* and The English Understand Wool*. They were both great, quick reads. I may need to reread Time War, as I think I missed things the first time around and I spent a good portion of the book wondering what in the universe was going on but it all came together. I’m also listening to Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers as an audiobook on Libro.fm and it’s helping me fly through chores!
What are you reading?
P.S. Don’t forget to sign up for Kidlit Survival Guide! This week we covered NCTE.
